Hammel For Iowa

Lynn Hammel is a lifelong Iowan who believes in hard work, personal responsibility, and serving the community. Lynn grew up in Northeast Iowa on a small dairy farm, where his family raised cows, chickens, and sheep. Farm life taught him the value of early mornings, caring for what you’ve been given, and working together to get the job done. Today, Lynn works in information technology, helping organizations solve problems and improve systems. He also founded BarrelsIowa.com, a small Iowa business that builds and installs rain barrels to help homeowners conserve water and care for God’s creation. Lynn understands the challenges facing Iowa families, homeowners, and seniors on fixed incomes. Rising property taxes are putting pressure on many households across the state. That’s why Lynn is running for Iowa House—to bring common-sense solutions, protect homeowners, and hammer down property taxes so Iowans can afford to stay in the homes they worked their lives to own.
